Greg Rucka

Greg Rucka came into comics as an outsider. He'd already had a career in comics older, prettier, and more popular older brother, novels, but he decided that he coudln't live without doing some work in comics. He started modestly enough, with the antarctic crime thriller WHITEOUT, and quickly went nova from there, landing one of the choicest jobs in the industry. Guiding the Dark Knight into a new millenium.
What's always impressed me about Greg's writing is his abilty to quickly, and with almost no dialogue at all, endear you to his characters. The noble and yet flawed protagonist of his seriwes of novels, Atticus Kodiak is a perfect example of this. With the first sentance out of his mouth, you're already in Atticus' courner. When he makes a mistake, and hurts someone that he loves, you feel his pain as if it were your own. Atticus is our old friend, and so is Greg Rucka.
Greg was kidn enough to spend some time talking about his comics, novels, and opinions on the comic industry with me. And as always, we've reviewed many of Greg's key comic works. From the No Mans Land novel, to both of his excellent Whiteout series, to his ground breaking Batman work.
